Guiding Eyes for the Blind breeds and prepares guide dogs to be placed, free of charge, with visually impaired people around the world. Volunteer puppy raisers in the Cuyahoga region (near Cleveland, Ohio), act as foster parents to puppies until they are old enough to begin formal guide dog training at GEB's training center in New York.

New puppy raisers are always in demand, and no prior experience is necessary! Guiding Eyes provides training and support for its volunteers in the way of local classes, regular puppy evaluations, video tapes and instruction manuals.
